Who never counts toward the 10
Most "free" standup plans are counting heads you did not know you had. This one counts answers, and only answers.
People who read the digest
The whole channel can read every standup. Readers are not participants and never appear on a bill.
Poll voters and reminder recipients
A poll for 80 people costs nothing, and so does a reminder that pings the whole workspace. Only answering a check-in or logging hours makes someone active.
People who stopped answering
Active means answered in the last 30 days. Someone who goes quiet drops out of the count by themselves, with no seat list to tidy.
What free leaves out

Free plan FAQ
- Is the free plan actually free, or a trial?
- Free, not a trial. Up to 10 people who answer, for as long as you like, with no credit card. A card is only involved if you upgrade to Pro.
- What happens when an 11th person answers?
- Check-ins pause until you upgrade or activity drops back under 10, and nothing is deleted while they wait. Reminders and polls keep running regardless: they are free on every plan and are never paused.
- Who counts toward the 10?
- Only people who answered a check-in or logged hours in the last 30 days. Channel members who read the digest, poll voters, kudos recipients and people who receive reminders never count, at any number.
- Does the free plan include the AI digest?
- No. The free plan posts the full digest with everyone's answers; the AI summary on top of it is the paid feature. If the summary is why you are here, Pro is the plan you want.
- What does Pro cost if we outgrow free?
- $2.50 a month per person who answers, at any team size. The seat count follows the 30-day activity window automatically, so people who stop answering stop being billed.
- Is this better than Slack's built-in /remind?
- For nagging a channel, /remind is fine and free. It has no answer collection, no digest, no per-person timezones and no view of who went quiet, which is the actual job of a standup bot. asyncmate's reminders are also free, so the comparison only starts at standups.
